I think the Surge is a perfectly fine name. Considering A LOT of people turned in that suggestion. I mean I feel for the people who did lose their houses. I understand some people lost loved ones in the storm. I had half of my family living on the beach and pretty much every close friend of mine lose their house. I just think that we should embrace the name. It's something of the past. It is our history (even though we are going with an "electricity surge"). Let's take our history and turn it into something positive. Like a long lasting Hockey tradition on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
