Subject: Peter Crowell

It is with great pain and sorrow that I report the loss of another classmate and great friend of all, Peter Crowell, on Sunday, October 4th, 2009.

Peter was on a bicycle tour in Nova Scotia, doing what he loved to do, when he became ill. Two weeks prior to that he had spent a happy day at the wedding of his son Ben.

Peter was my very first friend, as we grew up across the street from each other and met when I was four and he was five years old. His loss is devastating to me.

OMG! I am so sad to hear of Peter's passing. He was one of the funniest people I ever knew. I always seemed to run into Peter at the most peculiar places. I will miss that!
I was not close to Peter but I smile when I think of him & now with the sadness of his passing, I'll remember my visits with him very fondly. One time he showed up at my door (because I was on the reunion committee) & said "Come take a ride" & we went thru some old neighborhoods, showed up & knocked on Janie Johnson DeBoer's door & surprised the heck out her. We had a really nice visit with her.
He used to tell these wonderful stories years ago about his oxen & the saw mill & so many other tales he had to tell.
He was fun!!!
May he rest in peace!!
