Subject: Class Party This Summer or Reunion in 2013?

For more than a year now we have really enjoyed finding our classmates and hearing each others' stories. And we all have Ruth to thank for her untiring efforts to create and manage the website as she was relocating her home and business from the east to the west.

At the same time, however, we have been saddened by the untimely loss of some of our classmates as well as sensitized by some of the ongoing comments and responses of others. We all have grown (of course, not in the beltline!) and changed as should be expected over more than 45 years. In some ways, though, we want to reconnect with who we were in the '60's but in reality we are connecting with who we are today.............as it should be. As a result, we all need to be aware of that fact while having a lot of fun that can only be shared among classmates.

Last fall we started talking about a Class Party this summer. To me that sounds better than a Reunion especially when 2010 is not one of OUR big decade numbers. Of course, if we want a Reunion, then we should wait until 2013. Last year we also mentioned the chance of holding it at Leigh's but that was before her own personal health problems negated that. In either case (Class Party this summer or Reunion in 3 years), we need a committee that can be lead by those in or near Westboro who can find the right place/time/and venue. Since I am not one of those, we will need several classmates to step up now who can lead this effort.

Your thoughts on Class Party this summer or Reunion 2013 and committee leaders?
