Subject: Hello from Fred S and Sue F (now S)

Hello Everyone!
Thanks Ruth for this amazing and interesting web site. What a terrific idea for helping us to reconnect after all these years! We often wonder what many of our classmates are doing and where they live now. About 2 weeks ago, during one of our regular trips to Westboro, we drove by the Whittemore Farm, stopped and turned around in the driveway. We were surprised to see that the property was for sale. That started us talking about classmates, fun times and great memories. Shortly after that...to our surprise, we got the e-mail from Leigh E about this endeavor.

We are both retired now. We divide our time between Franklin and Falmouth. Soon we will be moving full-time to Falmouth as we both enjoy it so much there. Our oldest son lives in Franklin and has a seasonal site at Bay View Campground in Bourne. He has many friends at the campground from his childhood days and loves it. When our kids were growing up, we had a seasonal site there for about 12 years. We visit him at his campsite often during the summer as it is only a 15 minute drive from Falmouth. Our oldest daughter also lives in Franklin with her husband and 3 1/2 year old son. Our youngest daughter lives in Milford with her husband and 6 month old daughter. It is great having the kids and grand children so close! They are so cute. So...we are a little reluctant to leave Franklin but it is only an hour drive from Falmouth.

Our second son passed about 12 years ago because of a fatal crime and is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery. He was 2 weeks away from his 24th birthday. The perpetrator is in jail for life. That was a very difficult time for our family and for his many friends. He was a special person and we miss him every day.

We have been reading the multiple entries in the site and are thoroughly enjoying hearing about so many of our old friends. Again, what a great idea and we apprecialte all the time that has been spent on this web site. Thanks again!

How nice to read this posing from you and Fred. I've thought of you often over the years. I'm sorry to learn about loosing a son in the prime of his life; surely, that was a difficult time for you. I look forward to catching up with you at some time.
Diana
