Ky gulped and pulled her armor out from underneath a pile of junk. "FrostStarr?? d-d-oes..h-h-he have a l-l-l-eash?....im not really a big dog personm/.." she swallowed hard and yanked the armor over her head, settling it over her midsection and upper torso. Dashing outside after taking one last look at Dem, she almost collided with Cal, who just looked at her with a withering gaze.
"Ky, don't fool around." she said simply. she sighed and turned to FrostStarr and Tyleet. "I guess you want explanations. His name is Artemis Mage. He's a traitor to the Shang ways and Ideals." she swallowed and went on, tears threatening her eyes. "One day, a Warrioress named KEndara Brittlebone, an outcast from the Shang fighting school, named the Black Dragon when she was exiled, returned to this village, seeking me. You see, I was the one that defeated her in a combat to the death, but the elders, senile old fools now that i look back, called mercy, and exiled her instead for her practice of Black Magik. I went on to become the White Dragon Master, the second highest Shang honor in the Ranks of MAster. Artemis wa- is, the other. But the night she returned, Kylara was in a fight with the current Queen of the Thieves for the position. Kendara came bursting in with archers and Artemis, who'd betrayed all Shang warriors, and....me, by giving her my whereabouts. In a fight to the death, where she ws about to kill me, after a series of wounds to each person. Artemis, somehow, slit the ropes on his wrists and took a bow and arrow and shot her dead before she could deliver the final blow. He left that night.....and we neer knew where he went." she paused to wipe her eyes clear of the tears that had been streaming down her cheeks. She took a deep breath and continued. "Now, Kylara saw him in the fire tonight. I've been keeping tabs on him, and he's also reverted to the dark Arts of Shang, and is now the Outcast King. The only thing that worries me, is ....." she paused and looked over at Ky, who was chanting and waving her hands around in strange symbols. Cal turned back to the other two. "he's....the only warrior that can kill me...hand to hand. He's the Dragon, highest honor of Shang." she dropped to her knees in the dirt. Shaking with supressed anger and grief, she slowly turned her face to the two, her cheeks wet with tears and her eyes filled with anger and hatred. "Tonight, no matter what happens, I want you two and Ky's sister to stay safe. If he challenges one of us to single comabt, me or Kylara, please. I beg you two to stay back and stay away. The last thing i really want to tell your parents or family's is that their daughters have been killed by my former lover...." she looked up. Ky was standing there, nodding. Cal stood. "Alright, it's time. We must go to the Court of the Thieves to get the last member of our party. In relation to the reinforcements, thank you but no Tyleet. It needs to just be the five of use against him." she forced a smiled and turned, cocking her head to the forest. "Come, let's go." she motioned for Ky to come, and started walking towards the forest path to the Court's entrance.
