They should award an Assistant TCRG certification to anyone who finishes all 12 Grade Exams. This certification would allow you to teach at a school location where a registered TCRG or ADCRG has a school, but not run your own school. Just join a staff.

We know all schools have teachers who are not registered teaching Rec or preschool or adult classes of satellite locations, in contravention of the CLRG rule that a “registered teacher must be present”. No one follows the rule, so why not crack down on it, and have an option that is doable without the major preparation of the Written Test (which is an archaic method for determining ability to teach Irish dance, btw).

Then you can get hundreds of new registration fees every year from these Assistant TCs. They can have a seat at the table in voting and bringing about positive change in the org.

AND it would renew interest in the grade exams because it provides an easier path to being involved in the Irish dance world without making it your life.
