This will be one of the most WONDERFUL AND REWARDING EXPERIENCES OF YOUR LIFE! 21 outstanding young ladies will be chosen to represent our pageant and our beautiful state of North Carolina for the coming year. They must be beautiful, have a great personality, polished, and possess a sense of self-awareness and confidence. You certainly possess the fine qualities that will enable you to aspire to your dream of becoming one of the new North Carolina Sweetheart State Queens. During their year of reign, our State Queens will be treated as Royalty. We feel every girl deserves to be judged honestly, given equal opportunity, and treated with respect and love. To insure impartial judging, we select judges from other parts of the state of North Carolina and judges from outside the state of NC. Judges will be of highest integrity and qualifications. Competition Information Age Divisions: Baby Miss: 6-12 months Wee Miss: 12 - 23 months Toddler Miss: 2-3 yrs. Tiny Miss: 4-5 yrs. Petite Miss: 6-7 yrs. Little Miss: 8-9 yrs. Young Miss: 10-12 yrs. Junior Teen Miss: 13-15 yrs. Teen Miss: 16-18 yrs. Miss: 18-26 yrs. Ms.: 18 yrs. & up (divorced, single with children, etc.) Mrs. - 18 and up (any age) must be married Beauty Competition This event is mandatory for all contestants. Contestants will do a simple walk on the stage. All contestants up to age 9 yrs. can wear a short or long dress. Ages 10 yrs. and over should wear a floor length evening gown. Judging will be based on facial beauty, stage presence and overall appeal and attire (how it looks on the girl) On Stage Introduction: All contestants ages 4 yrs. and up will give a simple introduction of themselves to the audience and judges during the beauty competition. This will account for about 10% of their beauty competition score.
