Subject: Porcelain Doll Wear

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON PORCELAIN DOLL WEAR!

There has been some confusion on what to wear and do for Porcelain Doll Wear. I will clear that up for you. We have discouraged the traditional pro-am in Porcelain Doll wear and absolutely do not want any gymnastics moves that include flips, hand springs, cartwheels, back bends, aerials, hand stands, splits, round offs, etc. As far as "what to wear", anything that is character, can be a Porcelain Doll.

However, the judges will NOT be counting any girl off for pro-am moves. Traditional dance moves, as long as done in good taste, are perfectly acceptable. The judges will be told that when "in question" to give the contestant the benefit of doubt and not mark down. But to focus more on presentation and creativity and how much fun the child is actually having. Personality in their routines is very important.

Our goal for each contestant is to choose a character or theme routine that allows them to be entertaining , theatrical and have a great deal of fun. Remember, this is not a talent category, but a creative modeling category. Just make sure that the girls have some kind of modeling in their routines. Girls can act out their chosen doll or character. Props and out of the box thinking are encouraged.

The judges will be judging on facial beauty, so please make sure the judges can see their faces. Also, creativity, presentation, personality and modeling are also judged.
