Flash rolled over onto his back as Ice got up and stood over him, ears twitching as she playfully nipped at them. He wriggled himself out from under her and hopped up. Flash teasingly nipped back at her, then leapt back a few paces and crouched low, peering up at her with a youthful and mischievous glimmer in his eyes that he never knew he still had, and gave a short playful bark. His tail was now waving frivolously from side to side and one paw was poised just a tiny fraction above the ground, readying him to pounce or leap or run, or anything. He wasn't in a lie-around-and-reminisce mood. He wanted to run around and play the fool and experience again what it was like to be carefree and blissfully unaware of anything serious and adult-like.
