When Chernobyl exploded my husband and my 3 children were stationed at hanau. They put out reports that if we were to go outside to make sure we shower asap. At the time this report came over the radio,tv I was speaking to my mother on the phone in Michigan. After we left germany and got stationed at Ft Drum NY I was put on synthroid for Hypothyroidism. Since that time my health has went down. My youngest son was diagnosed with Crohns disease at age 13. He is now 19yrs of age. They have diagnosed me with menieres Disease which I dont believe I have. I have lost 50% plus more of my hair, I have become allergic to many things and I have alotta bad days where my balance is off. I am on treatment for Menieres Disease and I now have more better days then I have had. I have skin lesions, my husbands and sons get them as well. My 19yr old has a lump in his testicle. A cyst . I have many cysts. They just found a lump in my breast My mother does have a thyroid problem but all the other things like hair loss etc are not hereditary. My mother blames it on Chernobyl and I laughed at her and tell her shes crazy. But after being this sick for so many years with no answers, I decided to look into it. Oh and becuz of my mother for the last 3 years I told all my doctors about it and they giggled. I think they think I am insane.
