sam gave her a toothy grin, sticking his hands in his pockets as he turned away. he disappeared down the alleyway weaving his way about the city to a place unseen by the woman. he took about three minutes before he returned, holding a pair of blue jeans, hopefully in her size. he held out the trousers, running fingers through his hair with his free hand. he said nothing, though fresh beads of sweat showed a heavy mind and slightly more nervous disposition. he was distracted only for a moment, but eyes turned back to the woman's eyes.

"no thanks needed, by the way." the hobo said lazily. "just get dressed and climb out of the trash." he paused, green orbs looking down to the floor. "if you need, you can travel with me. it's everyone for themselves out here...so i'll show you the ropes." he figured she was new to the whole homeless ordeal...but he wouldn't ask. no one here wanted to talk about their past. that's why they ended up in cascade, to get away from their pasts and focus on the dark future.
