She had begun to step forward with her head lowered to watch her sandaled feet pad forth but then she saw the male’s feet. He’d snuck into the alley so quietly she hadn’t even heard a murmur of his presence. But now her eyes were snaking up his lean body and were widening with every inch she took in. A series of alarms sounded in her head and her throat clenched to hold in a scream. She’d been warned by her brother that vampires roamed CM but she had taken the warning half heartedly. Now she’d wished she’d actually listened to all the other words of advice he’d shouted to her through the screened back door as she’d walked out of the family home. She caught her scream before it escaped. That was until he spoke. His eyes were gleaming with lust but it wasn’t until he’d called her a bitch that she realized he must have watched her shift. Or maybe she was just being paranoid? She caught his eyes briefly again. No, he definitely knew. She tried to back up but found herself pressed into the unmoving form of Zeth. His arms encircled around her and his lustful voice chuckled with glee. She glanced around in panic searching for other attacks but also an escape route. These were vampires. They were killers, rapists, and probably a lot of other bad things. “Get away from me!” It was a softer scream than she’d intended but her throat was closing up with panic. She struggled. Her heart was racing. “Or…or…I’ll…” it was an empty threat anyway so she just abandoned it. She shrieked again hoping one of her route mates might hear. “LET GO OF ME YOU FILTHY HALF BREED”. | |
