In reply to: JOhn 's message, "What if I want to wait to see who is picked up in PSD for my final pick in ND" on 27/10/21 5:22pm

PSD is an SL concept only, not an AFL concept.

Unless you are talking about waiting for SPP listings to be confirmed before your final ND pick. If that's the case, unfortunately, that's not possible based on the time limit per pic. However, you are more than welcome to use the ND pick on a "speculative" player.

I see two scenarios in this case:

1) You already own the player, you decide not to delist him because there's talk he might get picked up in SPP. So you take the risk and keep him in your 50man squad over the off-season << think it was Shy with Mason Wood last year.

2) Player is not SL-owned, he doesn't get drafted in any of the AFL drafts but you feel he might go in the SPP over the summer. You can use any ND pick and select him which therefore means you take the risk and have him on your 50man squad over the off-season.

For both the above scenarios...

IF PLAYER DOES GET PICKED UP (SPP), great, your risk paid off.

IF PLAYER DOES NOT GET PICKED UP (SPP), you would "delist" and take a pick in the SL PSD to fill the spot - PSD is based off ladder 2021 ladder (unless traded).

We ideally want to complete SL draft nice and quick and hence having the timer on draft picks (in past we have normally managed to do so in a week).

*note: SPP isn't a new thing, the above dates/approach is not new for SL either. So hopefully I've understood your question. Let us know if not.
