Subject: Rams questioning bias against trades
In reply to: John 's message, "Round 5 teams" on 2/07/20 7:59pm

I have to air this as it's becoming quite clear that some coaches have bias towards others when it comes to a few things and I am getting sick of it.

Firstly since I have been coaching I have had people question trades that I have done. 1 was Vetoed by mods before '51 Bewick took over the Bloods (before they became Burras). 1 was heavily criticised with the Dogs (and I still added more to balance it but people were still not happy) and now people are questioning the one with the Ox saying he should cop 0's.

Surprisingly no one battered an eyelid when I took on older players at the cost of McGrath (Pick 1 equivilant) and Cameron for Gibbs and Ebert or gave the Cats Enright, Dempster, Boak and Mumford for Motlop and said that was lopsided as that contributed to Jono winning his first premiership.

After speaking to Ox yesterday to clarify if he was ok, he said he still thought the trade was fair and surprisingly felt I was being reasonable. Whilst I will not hold it against him if he chose to go back on the deal based off other coaches feedback and opinions (trade period isn't open yet), I can't help but feel coaches are showing bias towards others.

Why does it feel like someone has to win or lose every trade? Yes these are stop gaps to help fellow coach. Yes they are slightly older but all are best 22 for their respective coaches until the others develop. I was just trying to help.

As it is my current side probably has 2 years left to challenge for a premiership.
