It is just come coaches have better players in better positions. That is pretty fundamental to the game.

And re McKernan, if you have cap limits he loses value, not gain it. A 3rd or 4th for McKernan is about right. Expecting a 1st in any scenario is absurd.

If he has more value to you than a 3rd or 4th pick, then you keep him. Win/Win. Both coaches get to keep what they value most...

The issue is not "stockpiling talls". Every list has a heap. If you want a better one, draft or trade one in. That is pretty much the point of the game.
