Her words weren’t enough to calm him. The animal inside was raging and the logical Telcoltl had lost all control to that beast. He didn’t turn his eyes away from Marcius until he had left the room and Telcoltl could no longer sense his presence in the coven. He sighed inwardly and moved slowly with Karina. He set her into a chair and moved to poor wine. He knew she hurt but surely some of his blood lingered to help. He poured two glasses, the last two of the set, half way full. He lifted both and deposited one in her hand before swigging down his own. The familiar taste of the red wine tickled his taste buds in a satisfying way. He slumped beside her in another chair. “We should sleep at Dimitri’s tonight.” It wasn’t a conversational topic. It was his plan of action.
