Dimitri made his order slowly, pondering each choice. A dozen cupcakes- that shouldn't be too hard. Okay, so... the rasperry darkchocolate frosted like a West Highland White Terrier. A marbelled one that looked like a strawberry... You get the picture. His cupcakes ordered, Dimitri started in on the petit fours, smiling. Mocha and dark chocolate pound cake. Yum.

He took a seat at one of the bakery's wrough iron tables, eating slowly. Too bad they didn't serve coffee, or this could be Paris. Mmmm. Paris. Too bad his children there were too busy to give him enough attention. Dimitri pulled Sam into his lap, handing the Shetland a cake. Yum yum. The dog gobbled up the offered treat. Dimitri laughed, absently reaching for his cane and tapping it on the ground. When questioned he'd just make something up about arthrtitis or a sprained ankle. It was easy enough.

With his golden eyes, Dimitri watched everyone who entered the shop. No one caught his eye- a few shifters, a were, a fairy here and there. But nothing special. No one he wanted to see. No one he knew, for that matter. Until the little blonde walked in. Darling girl.

...Short dress.

Karina?
