It was as if he didn't understand - didn't wish to - and thought her unwilling. That was the farthest from the truth! She loved him, with all her heart, would and had in a sense died for him. Looking out the window to compose herself Alicia bite her lip not caring if it tore flesh and drew blood. What did it matter what she looked like? It was obviously not enough. "I didn't say I wouldn't. I refuse to talk about our personal life in front of your employee and friend - but if you wish... The words were spoken softly but venomously thru their mental link just as Ashena spoke of her needing to be happy for him. "I am excited for him - truly - though I don't look forward to the long hours apart. Especially as we have been hoping to start a family." Thankfully anything more she would have said was silenced by the waitress as she set down their food. Looking at the salad Alicia smiled and gave a nod of gratitude to the woman then seemingly dismissed her. "I know this means more things for us than what we've had - but I was never upset with what we had before. But don't mind me - please, go on about the magazine - it sounds as if you've truly impressed some of the fashion world's best." Did he honestly think she wasn't happy for him? Did he honestly think she did not wish to smile and hug him tight and dance about? Of course she did - but he was a professional - soon to be well known more than he already was. And anyone would be looking for a way to bring him down or throw dirt on his face - she would not be the cause of such scandal and she had hoped to celebrate the news privately at home - had he wished.
