Relatives of Alex Casademunt,who died in a traffic accident at the age of 39, have said goodbye to the singer at his funeral, held on Thursday in Mataró, Barcelona. In addition to their parents and siblings, their partner and the mother of their three-year-old daughter have come to the burning chapel.
To tuck in the artist's family, several of his colleagues from the program 'Operation Triumph'have been present, in which David Bustamante, who reachedthe absolutely broken tanatrium of pain, was made known, and Casademunt's mother was embraced in tears.
They have also come to say goodbye to singer Manu Tenorio, David Bisbal,Nuria Fergó, Javián, Rosa López, Gisela, Geno or Veronica Romero. Bisbal has stated that, for him, it has been"very hard all that has been lived today."
Chenoa and Natalia also moved to Barcelona on Wednesday to accompany Casademunt's family, but have not been able to attend the ceremony on Thursday. Other well-known faces, such as television collaborator Marta López or singer Merche,former partner of Casademunt, have also been present.
Several of the 'ex-brothers' have accompanied the artist's brother, Joan Casademunt,when he has made brief statements to the press, in which he has appreciated the support he received these days.
"We are absolutely devastated, shocked,"he said, noting that, at the same time, they are "very happy because Spain has gone overturned with someone who had tremendous talent." "It's a part of me, us and a lot of people. It's the hardest time of my life and that of many of us in our family," he added.
"Alex would be very proud to see all this,"he added, thanking those present, who have burst into applause. "Alex would be delighted with all this reception, it's brutal, we don't have words," added Joan Casademunt. "Apart of me is dead," he has acknowledged.
In the vicinity of the tanatrium has also gathered a group of bikers to fire the singer,who died precisely when he crashed into a bus as he left a biker club of which he was a member. The accident took place at 9:44 p.m. on the Cirera road and some followers have deposited flowers at the point where it occurred in memory of the singer.
