For some reason this has been omitted even from the revised cause of death reports. He was born in Toronto not Montreal but moved to Montreal at the age of two after his parents divorce. He was the great-grandson of Canadian Prime Minister Sir John Abbott (1892-1894). He and William Shatner were friends for nearly 70 years!
