Author: A director
Subject: What I don't like about TLC right now is their games!

Right now, I think TLC is getting the hopes up of directors and then crashing them. TLC contacted a director friend of mine, told her they were coming to film and then dropped her for a bigger pageant.

They are not going for the prelim pageants now. It must be a state, regional, mini national or national. So if you are having a prelim and not giving away cash, don't get your hopes up even if they contact you.

I think TLC should be considerate enough to contact Directors atleast a month in advance and then stick with that pageant no matter what. Not contact them 2 weeks in advance, say they are coming and then wait til a week before and say "oh sorry, we chose another pageant".

And for those directors thinking you are a big deal because you have had an episode, give it a rest. There are tons of great directors out there that chose not to be involved with T&T so stop and take a chill pill.

I have had an episode and to be honest, I would not do it again. It was one of the highlights of my year and that is the prospective light it should be put in. I want contestants that come to my pageants because they respect me and my system, not to get on TV. If you have to advertise that you had a show filmed to get contestants, then I feel sorry for you.

It is a great opportunity to have your child followed but for every Eden Woods, there are 50 that don't get noticed by agents or other media. Please parents do not get your hopes up of instant stardom. It will lesson your experience of having that "15 minutes of fame" fun.
