Kosses had morphed. She was no longer demure and sweet. She was no longer startled and wide eyed. She was pure and uncontrollable aggression. She wasted no time. She didn’t even let the words finish falling from the mucky yellowish lips of the assassin. As she had snapped at Kosses’ leg, the alpha had whipped around and launched herself in attack. Alphas don’t stand around and let others snip at them. They attack. Its bred into their deep rooted aggression. Kosses seemed massive as she let her brown frame smash into the others. Her fangs dazzled in the light as she snapped and growled at everything. Spit flew from her open jaws as she released part of the female coat and snapped down again, closer to the neck. She was blind in her rage. She might not stop until one of them was dead.

Deep inside she registered Gavin’s presence, but do to the little time allowed, she had exchanged no pleasantries. Gavin would know the drill. Kill and then discuss later. Gavin was, after all, lead male (the only male) of a small territory of females. It wouldn’t be hard to convince him that his surging testosterone was well placed in this battle. Kosses was so lost in the goal of spilling the other’s blood that recognition for the offender had not been recognized. Did Kosses even know this female? It’s hard to remember all the names of the people who want to kill you.
