#2. The Promoter. As the promotional side of things the promoter needs to have the ability to contact local businesses, local tv and radio stations and make advertisments for there track. Without advertising how does anyone know whats going on. It dont matter what station, or what area, just promote it. Promoters need to visit local businesses, hand out fliers and leave pamphlets of there track in locations that can be seen. They need to place ads in the local and surrounding county newspapers advertising the next race, or the past weeks standings. Even writing a small article every now and then about who is doing what and talk about whats going on with the local racing community. It shouldnt be up to a free lance reporter to find these said tracks and do research on them. The promoters should be out calling on the free lance reporters to do such stories. The promoters should also be with the owner to meet and greet anyone paying to get in, whether it be a fan, racer, or a crew member. that goes along way and actually shows some respect and makes the people feel wanted there. Its nice to be met by the local owners and promoters. This goes a long way in everyones eyes. The promoter and the track owner need to work hand in hand with decisions being made, and take suggestions from drivers and fans. IF THE FANS WANT TO SEE A BIG SANCTIONED RACE, DO NOT THRO IT OUT THE WINDOW BECAUSE YOU DONT WANT TO PAY ANY MONEY. Start looking into what series could be a visitor. The dumbest thing ever is to look over suggestions.

#3. Announcer. Needs to do just that. Announce. Tell what car is on the track, tell what is going on in the race, althou sometimes we cant hear you in the pits, the fans in the stands can. They like to know whats going on. If there watching the front 2-3 cars race, and cant see the other cars, they may mis some key racing. Let them know whats going on thro the pack. Talk to the fans during downtime and or intermission. Make jokes, tell stories, talk about racing, or even have a DRIVER INTERVIEW. I know i know seems to easy huh.. Well, it is. Drivers love talking about whats going on with there team, there racing and etc. Heck if the driver isnt around talk to a crew member and just get an update. Make the fans interested adn keep them interested. I promise they will tell a friend and there would be another potential money spender.

#4. Tech Man. Needs to do his job. Its the tech mans job to look and check cars. I never once this year seen the tech man take a durometer and check tires. Pull a random valve cover. Check the random cam. Check a so called crate engine. Do a saftey inspection (front wheel drives mainly as these guys will race the biggest junk known to man). Talk to the drivers and crews, come to the drivers meeting, let your self be seen and easily available. How hard is it to do simple things like this to ensure everyone is ok via the rule book? It is. beleive me.
