#5. Track workers, and flagman. COMMUNICATE. I dont know how many times this year at the local track wehre there would be a wreck on the track and the flagman wouldnt thro a caution for SEVERAL key moments. Thats all they need to do is COMMUNICATE.

#6.Drivers. Need to step up and act as they need to. Wrecking someone or on purpose taking someone out is worthless. Yes racing is a passion and i been on all the sides of it. Driving, crewcheifing, and a fan. They all 3 have there good times and bad times. If the drivers feel they are getting cheated out of something, PROTEST. Thats why the rule book is there. Use it to your advantage. Go to the track to win, and if there any problems, be ready to accomidate those. Get out and talk to the fans, sign some autographs. Give away a few pictures to the fans. Walk over and say hi to other drivers and crew guys every now and then. It takes only but a few seconds to do so and it will gain you more respect on and off the track. Stop standing in your trailor raising hell about someone cheating and get the rule book out and use it to your best interest. Use the visual protest rule. Take a head off, weigh the crank. This is YOUR teams job. Dont finish 2nd, only to pull in the pits and raise hell because yout run by what you think is a cheated up motor. PROTEST. Stop bickering about it and find out for sure. That rule is in place for that reason. Race clean, race smart, you CANT win on the first lap. PERIOD. Dont care what kind of racing you do, you cant win on the first lap. Listen to the raceceiver, do what you are being told. Your not going to be able to argue with the guy on the other end so why try on the track.. all you are doing is slowing the show down and bothering everyone else.

#7. Fans. Fans pay the bills. PERIOD. You have to have fans in teh stands to pay the bills. Fans come in all forms, shapes, sizes, and colors. Fans need to talk about racing while at work. Find potential fans and pay their way in one weekend. You may not only have a great friend with you, but have a dirt race fan for life. Fans in the stands, is why we race. More fans equal more fun, and potentially more money for the drivers, meaning more drivers, meaning more fans.....well you get the picture.. Show the drivers some respect. Talk to the drivers. Find out and learn about the drivers. I promise most all of them will take a few minutes to talk to you about there career and wanna share pictures and stories with you. Its a simple process

Dirt Racing is a dieing sport. Without proper promotion, tracks will not get the fans, drivers, and publicity. Without a decent pay in purse, your not going to get fans, or publicity, or more cars. Racing without fans will make the track lose money, so why stay open? Promote the track, promote new fans, new drivers, new people. Talk at work about it. Tell your neighbor how you did this past weekend. Let me open the newspaper and see a small article written about whats going on. All it takes is one step. That one step leads to all other aspects of the dirt racing world. Promote, Talk, Race!

Thanks for reading.
