Dear Edita,
Thank you so much for your very nice reply to my questions about your husband.
Wow, that is really wonderful! No wonder you are so proud of your "work", and the results of all of your efforts (and expenses) over the past several years to achieve this.
Now i am trying to think of which procedures those six cosmetic surgeries were. Here are my guesses (based upon what i understand from your previous postings): (1) breast enhancement [maybe that counts as two procedures because i know you first had B-cup size done, and later on had C-cup size done.] (2) facial feminisation. (3) trachial shave and voice surgery [also maybe counts as two procedures?)(4)some body sculpting? Now i will need some help to know what procedures (5) and (6) were.
But, as you said, it is the final result that matters!
I am especially impressed by what you said about her voice. Those voice surgeries used to be very risky and with not such good results; so it's great that the techniques have improved so much now. btw, Given your enjoyment of the feminisation, and the results of it, i would think you must love hearing her speak with that very feminine voice---that must be so different from her "old" voice.
Although she is not interested in being with men, at least she is getting a taste of the kind of attention that men give to attractive women---as she has now become.
Yes, i remember reading about your making her try out her new equipment by having sex with a man---which she did not like. So it sounds as if she has retained her original sexual orientation--i.e. being attracted to women. And that may, as you said, be an indication of a tiny residual of "male" very deep inside her psyche. I would add also that i have noticed that many of the later (i.e. post male-puberty) transitioners seem to retain their sexual orientation of being attracted to women; so after they become women, they end up being lesbian. It seems that more of the very early transitioners (e.g. some of the new daughters of the moms you are helping)end up being attracted to boys/men after transition.
But when it comes to individual cases, it is difficult to predict the ultimate sexual orentation after transition. For example, i know a family in which both of the sons were feminised into daughters and one of them is now a lesbian woman, whereas the other one is very much a heterosexual woman. One explanation in that situation is that neither of them really changed their sexual orientation after transition; the lesbian woman had always been attracted to boys (prior to transition), and the heterosexual woman had always been attracted to boys (prior to transition.) I guess the bottom line on all of that is that the interaction between gender transition and sexual orientation is very complex, and there is lots of variability from case to case.
If anything, i think i am even more impressed by what you said about your husband's feminine mannerisms than about her nice feminine voice. Especially for transwomen who have lived a long time as men prior to transition, as did your husband, getting the feminine mannerisms just right---and learning to express them naturally like a natal woman---is one of the most difficult challenges of male-to-female transition (and especially for those who perhaps did not "volunteer" for femininity.) So you really must have taught her well. And also maybe that is where some of the "discipline" came in? I was wondering what you meant by that when you said, "Of course a lot of discipline (some diets) and six cosmetic surgeries were necessary" to achieve your goal.
Another thing you mentioned is, i think, very important: the element of the "new" woman being motivated to work hard and study hard in order to be very convincingly feminine and not easily recognized as a TS. This can be a very powerful factor in the ultimate success of a feminisation--whether the one being feminised is a spouse or a (former) son. The "new" girl or "new" woman will indeed "study" and try very hard to do her best in order to avoid eliciting the wrong kind of attention. It would be bad enough to draw questionning glances or stares, and worse yet to be perceived as "a boy in a dress" or "a man in a dress."
This posting is getting a bit lengthy, but i do want to add a couple more things before i finish.
First of all, given all you have said about the wonderful results of your husbands complete feminisation, i would think that she would make an excellent "example" to show other wives when you are helping them understand what great results are possible. Do you take advantage of that situation---either by showing the other women photos of her, or even perhaps by bringing her along when you meet with the other wives?
And, second, i was thinking that by now your daughter must be getting old enough to begin to have some pretty definite ideas of her own, including ideas about feminisation. Do you think she might be interested in someday following in your footsteps being involved in feminisation?
I will close for now. Thank you again for your kind (and very prompt) reply to my questions. Good luck in your upcoming meeting with the mom from Switzerland; and please let us know how that goes.
Best Regards,
Nancy
