KJV Deuteronomy 22:1-3 "Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother. And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again. In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself."

Everyday there are souls that are lost and going to the eternal fire spoken of in Revelation, because someone didn't step out and witness or step out and go visit the sick or those that aren't coming to church. God told the Children of Israel that it was important for them to go out and save their brethren's sheep, ox and asses, when lost, and return them to their brothers house, and if their brother could not be found, to take them to their own houses and feed and take care of the animals until their brethren could be found, Instead of hiding from them, and not lending a hand.
Something to think about today, many times people stray from the church, and aren't attending regularly, or just simply don't care any more. Not necessarily even people in our own home churches am I referring to, but we see people every day of our lives that have at one time or another been in church, and are not going now, that have turned from God. it is our responsibility to go to them, seek them out, and share the Word of God, feed them, and nourish them in Christ, and lead them back to the Lord. Whether they are from our home church, or our brethrens, if you come in contact with someone that has strayed away, it is your place to try to bring them back home, and if you can't get them to their church for some reason, take them to yours.... I am NOT saying try to steal people away from other churches now, so do not get the wrong idea, i am speaking of people that has strayed away from god, and leading them back to Christ, showing them that god still loves them, and that he still will accept them, if they will just return home....to be with Him. it is your job today..... To begin finding your brethrens sheep, His raiment, all lost things of your brother's, and returning them to Him, or taking them to your Home, and taking good care of them...until they do return to your brother. What is there is no tomorrow to do it...... Would you want to face God and say, "it wasn't my job" when we didn't witness, or try to share God's love and forgiving nature with others?
