Yes. While I'm not a believer in Biblical inerrancy, I think I should point out that a number of Syraic and Septuagint manuscripts actually have 22, not 42.

But in all fairness, this could reasonably be considered as a legitimate contradiction. What probably happened is that the copyist for 2 Chronicles mistakenly wrote the numeral letter for 40 instead of the one for 20 (since both of the Hebrew letters look pretty similar to each other). The age of 42 would actually make the king older than his father. In all probability the original manuscript of 2 Chronicles had 22. Still, because of the copyist error all the surviving Hebrew manuscripts now have 42. Could this be considered a legitimate contradiction? You be the judge.
