Hmm, I plead the fifth on the age of the earth. Actually, I'm just not sure. I've read both young-earth and old-earth arguments and find that I just don't have the technical expertise to truly judge the validity of the arguments here. I do know the limits of science though. Virtually every theory gets abandoned as wrong, and scientists have been mistaken about the age of the world repeatedly, even in the last century. At one point we thought the universe was 2 billion years old, now we believe the universe is many times older than that.

But in any case, I don't feel bad or intellectually uncomfortable about the earth or the universe being billions of years old, or six thousand years old. Whatever the evidence may show, it's all good.

Also, keep in mind that not all us Christians are creationists. Many are evolutionists.
