Granted, I think if people can assemble without it resulting in harm, dandy. However, I find the idea of people getting together because they are the same race or same sexuality a bit silly, mostly because of the acceptance factor. (maybe if we make a club people will accept us!) Traditional clubs with the exception of philosophy oriented clubs aren't out for some sort of acceptance into mainstream society. For example, I haven't seen many chess parades. It's been awhile since I've seen a troop of dancers come in with banners and get pissed off because some folks make fun of their tights.
I simply wonder what such a club is FOR. What is their mission? Is it a meeting place? Isn't a bar the same thing? Is it about acceptance? What the hell do you do in a gay club? For that matter, what the hell do you do in a Christian club? or an atheist club? Love God, Hate God, Be Gay?
