The steed's head raises suddenly at the touch, his dark oculars washing across her form. He swallows, truely not used to being cared about. All the sudden emotions were so strong and so new, they frightened the steed. They made him feel like a child again... a young colt... the one his father hated so horribly... The steed snaps his mind from the past, refusing to bring back such terrible memories at such a joyous point in his life. He had done the impossible, the unbelievable, the things others had scorned him for thinking about. He had found a home, built a herd, and was learning to portray his emotions without hesitation. It was a wonderful feeling, and it warmed the steed's blackened heart. He snorts gently to the three mares, each beautiful and amazing in their own ways. Each also struggeling with their own problems. He understood most of the difficulties, and he was sure to attempt to bring this herd together, for even evils need companionship.
