*fiery chestnut mare stands alone in the dense forest, coat aflame dispite the darkness. she remained unusually calm, reflecting on the past few days' events...*
*the devil seemed to have disappeared. that was one huge relief. and she was in foal! amazing... what would her foal be like? would it be a filly or a colt? would he/she look like her or her sire?.... the questions went on and on... but she was content to just wait... patience was not her strong suit, but when it was necessary, she was quite good at waiting*
*the only anxiety in her life now - well, actually two - were not as urgent as the others. the herd structure, for one. no dominance or order seemed to be established. is that how her future son/daughter would be forced to live? in a herd where anything goes? how would they learn discipline? she was confused at TSH's "equality" view. it was something she had never heard of before, and something that would take a long time to get used to... no lead mare? who had ever heard of such a thing? and no social order? unheard of!*
*but she trusted TSH. he would do the right thing, she knew. his heart was a good one, dispite his efforts to hide it. she knew a good soul when she saw one. growing up where nothing good existed, seeing even just a little bit of it meant a lot to her. she never thought she'd grow to love. sheten? she never loved him, she realized. he was her Lord, her Leader, and the King. they had a son together, yet where was he now? outcast, shunned, disgraced, and disowned, that's where. he had been born into a land of evil, and had chose the narrow path of neutrality, ending in fatal consequences... consequences that she herself had forced upon her own son*
*solo realized that she had passed the point of no return. she would never be able to take back her blows. never be able to heal the wounds inflicted on herself and on others. druid was alive, revenge was Rogue, her first son long dead*
*thinking of her first son brought a stab of pain in her heart. he had died without a sire, without a name. died without even being remembered by anyone, save his own mother...*
*so great was her hate, so deep was her grudge, solo had sent druid to hell and back. but druid wasn't dead. seconds from death, solo had let go. and now, druid still lived. walking the barren lands where the hooves of horses had long galloped away from it...*
what have i done? *she whispered. she had destroyed two lives. the life of her son, and the life of her half-sister. revenge had been justified, yes, but the hurt, the pain, the anger... it was still there. druid had killed her son. druid had to die...*
*even now, when the new way of love and caring had been revealed to her, she still felt that urgency, that drive. druid was alive. her son's murderer still lived! how can she let that go on? how can she even start to think of forgiveness?*
never! *she whispered harshly. never. she swore it. revenge was now Rogue. and her son was no longer her son. he'd live, yes, but only in torment. as for druid... even her hatred of her own self, and the guild... even that was not enough for solo's anger. druid must die...*
