Date Posted: 12:03:41 12/28/24 Sat I've read this forum for a long time and there is finally something in my life to contribute. I'm (M40) married to a smoker (F40) with two daughters 14F and 10F. My wife has gradually been shifting to vaping, sadly, as it is becoming so much more convenient in today's society. I always had a fantasy that my daughters would be smokers one day. Though given how trends are going it is less likely where we are. However, recently I was given a glimmer of hope. Over the holidays my wife said she and our older daughter wanted to have a talk. Apparently she has been vaping with her friends and now that she is home over the holidays she isn't able to hide it as easily and came out to my wife. My wife was angry with our daughter and had a stern talking to her. However, she came to the conclusion she is addicted and will at least need to continue on a short term basis. I pretended to be angry but I was so excited. It's not smoking, which is what I always fantasized about but it is a good first step. I'm just really excited she is addicted to and enjoying nicotine.
