(Greening)

Did anybody see Greening on Saturday? During the national anthems he was wearing a piercing in his tongue. Are international players allowed to play rugby with piercings? Should he have been told to take it out? I know this is not a school physical education lesson we are talking about but that could have been very dangerous. I do not think it is very proffesional to let young children watch rugby at this level, when the players are allowed to take the field with what can only be seen as dangerous. I would be interested in what people have to say regarding this matter. I did not notice his tongue during the game, did he take it out before he played? Maybe someone who knows a little more about the England team than i do could let me know.

(England point of view)

As for the game itself, my first thoughts were that England would destroy France, however after watching the first half I thought game on! However England did not fail to perform and ended up taking France to the cleaners (just like they have with every other team this year). It is evident that England are ever increasing and are displaying great form of late. They are no doubt up there with the southern hemisphere sides. It will be good to see how they perform during the next world cup. If there confidence continues to grow as it is lateley i honestly beleive that England could bring the World Cup to the British Isles.

(France point of view)

As for France they displayed some great french flair having been denied two Tries it would have been good to see what the score would have been had they been allowed. It was easily the best they have played during this tournament and great chances were created by what can only be described as an inconsistant french side. They never gave up during the game and nothing can be taken away from them reagrding how they played. They were beaten by the greater team. I beleive France gave everything they had against England yesterday and had they been playing another team from the six nations they probably would have come away with a win.

Wales v Italy Sunday 8th April

I beleive Wales will be victorious today. I do not think that it will be easy for them Italy will put up a brave fight. I also think that with Welsh form of late is not perfect and like the french they lack consistancy. If the likes of Robert Howley, Neil Jenkins and Scott Quinell are on form they should prove to be enough for the Italians. I think that when Graham Henry first became welsh coach a lot of wels fans grew confidence and that had a great effect on the team however as the days go on and the team are unconsistant that confidence slowly withers away. Don't get me wrong I understand that Wales are doing well as far as this competition is going. They lost against England, but I can not see anybody beating them during this tournament. They drew against Scotland, this game should have been dead and buried however they let them come back into the game, never the less they drew. And then they beat France a great game to watch in my opinion the best in the tournament so far. So they are performing however i think they need a little boost of confidence in some way in order for them to achieve maximium results.
