Subject: Caribou for Gallipoli

The only way to commemorate Newfoundland's presence in Gallipoli is by placing a Caribou statue like that which is found in France and Belgium, and place it in Suvla Bay.

It is time that we not only pay homage to our ancestors that sacrificed their lives in that campaign but also to the country, Newfoundland, that sent them there.

There is no more fitting tribute to the men of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and the people of Newfoundland than the majestic Caribou standing defiantly, bellowing desperately in mourning of her lost sons.

It is time to finish the job that Padre Nangle started.

...and a caribou without a doubt is the most fitting tribute...
