Hello, Marília.

I´m sending to you a first draw of the 3º task take a look and tell me what you think?

Digital generation

There is a new students profile in classroom this is undenible, the facebook, msn and google generation students. Some of this students have sit in front of a pc on their parents laps before start to talk and walk while their parents check their e-mails or google or chat on the net, or playing with their parents celphone; by the age of three or four these children surf on web by thenselves. And how we teachers from an analogical era are prepered to teach these digital and technological minds?
Now a days have been a really challenge to get students attention, board and chalk are not enough, some times teachers and students speak another language while students google, teachers look up in the book, while students type, teachers use handwriting, it’s a huge crack and how learning is possible with students and teachers speaking differents languages? Its time to teachers start to “digitalyze`` thenselves, but these isn´t a easy task we know, our minds weren´t prepered to digital technology, so, let then the master help and paticipate of this changes, why we still have problems in accept a type work or tell our students to just e-mail their papers. Another challennge is understand these students’ minds, this generation askes for faster and contextualized contents, they wish to know how and when specific subject are connected to their lives. For teachers it’s a great revolution deal and teach digital natives and more then this, how to use technology in their favor, how to take advantage of their world for teaching means; that means get closer to their students.
So, dependes on the teachers start to make students more engaged to their learninng bringing more tools who make possible use students technological knowledge and interests toward learning, is our task to start to speak our students languages.
