Bob,
Same situation as you, paid the deposit on a D-Motor.
I'm based in the west of Ireland and fly an Xair Hawk with a Jabiru 2200 engine. The plan is to replace the Jabiru wth the D-Motor, hopefully later this year.
The Jab is going OK so far, but performance is disappointing - interesting to see the latest adverising blurb has derated the engine from 85hp to 80hp.
The other negative with the Jab is the attitude and pricing of the UK agent who is operating close to restrictive practices legislation and refusing to sell some spare parts unless he fits them. There was a fair bit of dicussion on the Jabiru UK users website until he threatened legal action, which has only further damaged his customer relations with owners now actively looking abroad for spares. Unfortunately Jabiru Oz don't seem too concerned, despite direct approaches about the situation.

Roll on the D-Motor, there's a good market waiting.
