Hi
It all depends on your application. For my Pulsar, weight and size are critical. 65hp is fine (80hp even better)and I like the water cooling (already there from the 582 engine).
The following figues come off the internet.

Rotax 582:.........65hp 50kg
D-Motor(LF26):.80hp 48kg ( plus a bit for bigger battery
Jabiru 2200:.......80hp 63kg
UL260i:.............97hp 72kg (plus a bit for bigger battery

The D-motor seems more compact (no cooling fins or valve gear on top of the cylinder heads) than the Jabiru or UL engine.

There's a latest news update posting on the D-Motor website talking about the uprated LF27 engine - but unfortunately the specs and graphs (as of today)still refer to the LF26 that they have abandoned, I'm guessing that the LF27 will be a bit heavier and slightly larger.
