I agree it would be nice to see an independent report on the D-Motor with true dyno power readings etc., but I don't ever recall seeing the same for any Jabiru or Rotax engines. If you know of any I would be interested to read them to compare marketing claims with fact. All I have ever seen is factory visit type articles or aircraft flight tests using this or that engine which tend to concentrate on the handling and performance side of things.
Perhaps some manufacturers prefer not to have independent data available!
