This will sound pointless to most, especially since most of you don't know me, none the less, I wanted to say it.
I was never keen on the whole "guild thing." I honestly thought that I would continue playing EQ till "the end" w/o the company of a guild. Denaden showed me just how wrong I was when he invited me into the Emerald Legion. It took a lot of questions, a few days, and a bit of convincing. But when I decided to join The Guild several months ago, he went out of his way to get an officer to find me.
As the weeks progressed I started to recognize names, knew who everyone was, their classes, their lvls, etc... It was even a running joke b/t Denaden and I how I was lvl 20 something and never left Unrest (dispite Numerous deaths Per Day)! Again he went out of his way and took me to Kunark. A troubble some boat experience I will never forget. (I missed the jump from the shuttle to the boat, and Den fell off the boat...the second attempt worked a lot better).
So I want to take this time to offer special thankx to Denaden.
As for Kydan. I never met him face to face... but I didn't have to. I knew by the way the guild was run, handled, and how well everyone got along, that he was doing a great job! Whenever anyone got on... It was for certain that Kydan extended a warm "welcome" and a "hello."
To Kydan, thank you for all your time, effort, work, and experience that you put into the Emerald Legion.
-To both of you. Thank you for showing me I was wrong about Guilds... Espcially the Emerald Legion.
Now. The reason most of you don't know me (and my name was never even posted on the member list) was b/c I took 2 1/2 months off. A long 2 1/2 months. (ooc-a few of my classes just needed that extra attention).
Even though I wasn't playing, I kepted up w/ the guild home page, message boards, member list, events, etc... I heard about all the disrruption that was going on, and was upset to hear that The Guild had some arguments.
I returned to EQ this weekend, to find that I no longer had The Guild title "Emerald Legion." It took several /who all "Emerald Legion"'s to convince myself that something major had definately occured.
Upon reading the previous post I can honestly say that I am deeply saddened by this great loss of a wonderful guild. -As far as I'm concerend, the best guild. (And yes, I have other characters in others, that's why I swore I would never put Nia throught that "torture"); but I was wrong about this one.
To all the great people of the former Emerald Legion...
