Hello there. I'm a bit new to this board and am not quite in the service. I am, though, a bit curious about the laws/regulations on lightbars in Florida. Reason for asking is I have a 1988 Buick Century and am planning on modifying it into a make-shift copcar or security car for a movie. Is it possible to drive on the road with the bar (Whelen Streethawk) on top and turned off? Also, what about the specialty black bumper(?) with one red and one blue light that would be located in the front? I want to be safe than sorry.

If anyone could help, it would be appreciated.

It's illegal. (NT)Florida laws are among the most restrictive.08:59:18 12/18/02 Wed

anywhere, unless authorized to do so, or with special dispensation for the authorities, parades, shows, etc. Make everything removable, or get covers for it all when not used for movies, shows, parades, etc., or any other function that you participate in (NT)It's not a good idea to drive around like that......12:19:41 12/18/02 Wed
