In reply to: Chris H 's message, "Anyone out there know what type of radio equipment and mechanical sirens were used by the FBI in their vehicles in the early 60's? Any ex-G-Men out there?" on 20:30:34 12/22/02 Sun

Do you know the original color? My father worked for the Gov. during those years and Fords like you have were quite common. The military cars were ordered as you mentioned with Army Green, Air Force Blue and Navy Grey. I don't recall FBI colors for that year, but probably were non-metalic basic colors. See if there are holes for wiring to the trunk as they might have been using tube type radioes then (big mothers). Nice find and if it is not as you think, it would still make a dandy clone; one of my favorites. You can always check with the FBI training area in Quantico, VA near the Marine base. Remember the FBI on TV in the 60's? They all used Fords, but it was one of the sponsors of the show.
