It has always been my opinion that for any woman wishing to instill grace and femininity into a boy, ballet lessons must be high on the agenda. Ballet is the epitome of female artistic expression and whilst it requires hard work, self discipline and concentration on the part of the boy, the results can be very rewarding for the mother. I am very happy for Dana as her son obviously wishes to be like the girls in his ballet troupe and I say to her, by all means go ahead and buy him pretty panties and whatever else you feel will help nurture his developing femininity. Shopping for all those important ballet essentials will bring a mother and her son so much closer and help the boy's self confidence immeasurably. I also agree with Erica's comments about what a ballet boy should wear. Soft, pastel colours; especially pink are perfect and, if possible, I would recommend little 'ballet-style' wraparound skirts for Dana's son to wear at home along with tights, panties and ballet slippers. I hope we hear more from Dana about how her ballet boy is progressing and more from Bystander about her neighbour's 'sweet ballerina' boy. I, for one, am eager to read more.
