I would cut Coach Hunt and the team some slack, they are playing the somewhat "big boys" today. This is not surprising at all. Colgate most likely plays these games for a big paycheck, it's important source of revenue that ALOT of departments need to operate effectively. Whether we like or not it's going to happen, whether we like it or not.

Check yourselves, 'gate fans. Many other 1-AA teams are playing the big boys today and getting their clocks cleaned. It's about self-promotion, a few extra bucks, and national attention....win or lose. You know that! And yes, it might happen again next year vs SU, but would you really rather play SUNY Morrisville instead? Go 'gate!

So otter, you were looking for a "W"? These are called "stretch games" for a reason. Did you listen to Hunt?

Re: 24-3 -- The Future, 09/ 5/15 3:49:49pm Sat
UNH (FCS semi-finalist last year) lost to (3-9 last year) San Jose State 43-13.
UNH had 186 yards of total offense. SJS had 707.
Colgate was outgained 438 to 325.
These games are tricky. A lot of things have to go right for FCS teams to win them.
In past three years, Navy has won 8,9, and 8.
They are a good team.
Seems like a lot of starters on D were out by the end of the game.
Morgan, Bridgeforth, Figueroa, Diener--not sure if they were all injuries. Seems like Diener was just cramps.
Wilkins looks great. Lots of new guys on D at the end of the game. Started both halves well. Need to keep that going.
Beat UNH!

that sounds better. UNH lost as well, to a 1A team.

I liked it when one of the well prepared announcers asked: Where is Colgate, anyway?

Yeah, really! Those guys were clueless about the team Navy was playing. It was like we were a "ghost team" out there. It would be nice to show the opposing team some love since we bused all the way down there.
