Glad to have the win even if it wasn't smooth. Holland runs hard and doesn't stop with the first tackler. Melville's passing has clearly improved and the receivers are very capable and make really good grabs. Bowman must have reconciled with his girlfriend. But, man, they have to improve the exchange on the handoff with the RB's. The fumbles will make a difference in close games. Still getting some dumb penalties. Keep in mind that 'gate did not score in the second half and 17 points is not very much. Hope they win out and get the AQ. I was disappointed at the end of the first when Colgate had half a minute left and two time outs and didn't use them to try and score. Didn't demonstrate much confidence in the offense.

There's always the flipside of a significant offensive achivement like Holy Cross's 500 yards passing today against Fordham.

Fordham's D gave up 500 yards passing in a game.

The previous week, Penn's Andrew Lisa finished 24-for-37 for 263 yards and three touchdowns in his first collegiate start. This was in a come from-behind blitz ( behind 10-35 in the 2nd quarter ) after giving up three turnovers in its first five possessions.

Fordham needed a last minute field goal to beat Penn and overtime to overcome H.C, today.

Fordham is good. But they put their pants on, one leg at a time, just little bit differently than others in the P.L.. At the least the game with the Rams, after the bye week, should be a game!

I'll take Melville throwing for about 190, no fumbles, only two penalties and the RB's having a stellar game. Oh yeah, and the D holding Fordham to 100 or so on the ground. It's finally a home game which helps. Go 'gate.

Hey Gate Raider! Another brilliant statement on your part! "Glad to have the win even though it wasn't smooth". Football games are full of "Highs" and "Lows" in a 60 minute time frame. They are never smooth! Whats the comment about a player reconciling with his girlfriend? Also the quote "didn't demonstrate much confidence in the offense" at the end of the half. You are definitely more mentally challenged when it comes to football than I thought.
That was a hard fought victory for a team that has two conference wins on the road! Congrats to the coaches and players. The only loser this weekend....was you Gate Raider!

agreed...however while #3 gets a lot of press and makes some nice catches he drops passes every game....about as many as he catches in some and was flagged twice Saturday for false starts.....that's gotta improve!! drops & flags are drive killers and will hurt the chances of a PL title
#29 is a vacuum! catches everything thrown his way
