And yet another typical, blocked punt to end the half for Colgate and leave more points on the field. Thought these high school days were over.
Hope Maddaluna returns; maybe Quazza will get some plays as he should have.

42 yd FGs are not automatic. Blame the holding call on the prior play for leaving points on the field.

Quazza made the big play. the Leopards played a good game against us; their D looked pretty good, and we bumbled just enough with penalties and DQs to keep it close. Leopards don't look like a last place team. We have to be better than this to win next week vs. Lehigh, who smoked HC today.

That was a nerve-wracking game and a gutsy win on the road, but I think we left our enthusiasm on the sidelines at the Fordham game. Lafayette has returned some of its O-line and is not the same team from September.

Lehigh will give us fits with their new, starting QB. They are racking up the points and our pass defense is poor. We cannot afford to get behind early like HC did today.

That freshman QB is going to see a different kind of rush bearing down on him than he has seen so far. Colgates's DB's are actually stronger with Tyler Castillo in there. That kid can play. Keep Hardegree returning kicks.

The kick was way low, as in didn't look like the Pards even needed to jump to block it. That whole sequence was strange, the running play with so little time on the clock didn't make sense and then the scramble used up way too much of what little time was left. Agree that Quazza's play was the big one, he doesn't make that catch & we're in trouble. D played well all day and bailed out what looked to be a flat offense.
Laffy stadium was also a big winner, hadn't been there since the 80's & it's a great spot for a game. Andy, if you happen to catch this many thanks for the College Hill Tavern reco, we used it to proper effect!

Back from the game. Unfortunately the Raiders were thinking that they were facing a 1-8 team and were flat, but full credit to the Pards. They played like it mattered and they have some scary skill players. It was the first time they had their starting O-lime since the opener.
Our offense was flat for much of the game. This victory belongs to the defense. Lafayette only scored 1 TD despite having field position throughout the first half. McCullom's INT's were very key as were numerous sacks on key 3rd downs. I can not remember the last time our defense has had this many sacks. Hats off to coach Shafner.
Great to pull this rabbit out of the hat. Now the Mountainhawks. They creamed HC today with a freshman QB, who appears to be considerablely better than their previous startier. It will be a challenge. I give the edge to our "D" but the offenses are a toss up. As always it depends on the O-line, IMO.

Bad start but outscored them 28-6 after being down 13-0. Hunt also took the foot off the gas on the last drive. Could have been 35-19 very easily as we were on about the ten yard line and just let the clock wind the last two or three minutes. Classy !
