Re: Men's Basketball -- The Future, 11/13/15 11:07:59pm Fri
Did the team just get younger and better? I didn't see the game and have never seen a lot of these guys play but it sure seems like this coach knows what he is doing brining in guys who played for a year at another school (and maybe redshirted there? I don't know). With transfers, you can see what they look like going up against college competition before you sign them and then you get them here and give them a redshirt year to get stronger and learn the system and then have them here for three years. Course load is probably easier with credits transferring and not being able to play for the first year they are here. Guys are older and stronger and better than they would be if they had come in as freshmen.

Agreed. There is no reason to be a dick and start the season with negativity. Promising freshmen and transfers, entertaining game, 800 or so supportive fans, tough comeback loss. C'mon, fans. Keep the faith. This team will be okay.

Agreed! The team deserves better commentary than this meanness. Does anyone think it's clever or productive?
So... Don't be a dick. Simple as that.

And how is what Mercer did two years ago - with five senior starters - relevant to their weaker team now?
Two years ago they were 27-9, with the five seniors starting. Last year they were 19-16 vs an average schedule playing in a very weak league.
Bbw, it is possible to support the team and be objective at the same time.

Will ZZZZ concede that the George Mason win was a good one?

It was an exciting game and the crowd got into it. Colgate looks like it has some promising players on the team. Maybe they will make some noise in the PL.

Positive comments. That's what I like to hear. I agree. The young guys are promising and I have not seen so much young talent here the team makes noise this year in the PL remains to be seen, but next year? I'm encouraged and I hope this week's crowd vs Cornell repeats itself. Lots of students, lots of energy, and the fans applauded the team as they left the court. I like it!
