The western part of the territory is barred from casual use. This is where several carefully cultivated herds of Preda Bens reside. The crimson-and-grey bipeds live in the territory's only open areas of high golden grasses and plain-like expanse. Pack members can hunt these creatures alone, in small groups, or as an entire pack, though the latter is rare. A Quomai herd passes through occasionally, and when it does, there is great celebration, for Quomai meat is an extreme delicacy. No Korat can successfully hunt a Quomai alone, and small groups constantly fail to bring one down. The arrival of the Quomai herd means the entire pack hunts, and even then there is a fifty-fifty chance of success. Hunting either Preda Bens or Quomai is always risky for a Korat, comparatively a small quadruped when compared to the towering Quomai or even the long-legged 'Bens. It's a rare feat that a Korat will come unscathed from a hunt.
