A silence prevails, pooling about her passive frame. Shadows twine and clasp the blacker than black form, tightly clutching to each fibre of dull fur, ragged and uneven to half-hide the wicked scars beneath. A lone eye, the colour of hard, merciless iron, turns down to face the pair of them, glistening once. The point of shining lost in a lustreless sea. Carefully, it permeates the new Korats, reading them like an open book, intentions well masked. Something changes deep within, only noticeable by the quickest of eyes, and Deyt quickly looks away, remaining noiseless, duties - for now - complete.
