When Obama released five high level terrorists in exchange for a deserter....he said this:

"This is what happens at the end of wars...that was true for George Washington...That was true for Abraham Lincoln and that was true for FDR. That's been true of every combat situation, that at some point, you make sure that you try to get your folks back. And that's the right thing to do."

Well.. .George Washington was elected in 1789. The Revolutionary War ended in 1783...6 years before.

Abraham Lincoln was assasinated in April 1865... one month before the war ended.

FDR died of a stroke in April, 1945. VE Day (Victory over Europe) was May 8, 1945 and of course it was Truman who made the decision to drop the bombs on Japan bringing WWII to an end.

Once again, Obama shows how little he knows about America and its history. If George Bush said this assinine thing, the press would be leading with it for weeks.

Obama says it....not even a peep.
