The "medal" scenes at beginning and end were nice bookends for the episode. Despite the ugliness of the "murder of the week" to solve and resolve, the episode was fun - the one liners, the banter, the innuendos, the seeming cluelessness still of the colleagues (Espo, Ryan, Lanie), Gates and the dolls, Martha and Alexis - as well as romantic in a lovely understated way.

Every episode this season - all 3 of them so far (!) - I am so struck at the end of each one by a momentary JAG-melancholy: this is what we were cheated of. This is what Harm and Mac could have had. DPB, you gorilla you, you failed them and us SO badly.
